No. All submissions must clearly align with QIC’s objectives—ideas not connected to our insurance operations, risk management, or internal productivity will be disqualified.

We’re looking for innovative, high-impact ideas that can transform how we work and deliver value to our customers.

Examples could include:

• Automating repetitive tasks to save time
• Improving customer journeys through smarter processes
• Streamlining operations to reduce costs
• Leveraging data to make faster, better decisions

Your idea will first be screened for eligibility, then refined with the Innovation Team through expert review and workshops, and finally scored by judges on impact, feasibility, and innovation. Winning ideas will be showcased at the Group Tech Meet-up/Town Hall and may progress to POC, Pilot, and Production with full support from the QIC AI Innovation Team.

QIC takes pride in being a regional leader in ESG initiatives and greatly values ideas that contribute to sustainability and community well-being. For the Employee Innovation Challenge, however, submissions need to directly support our core business goals — such as driving growth, reducing risk, saving costs, or boosting productivity.

This means that while initiatives like recycling, waste management, or community projects are important and part of our broader ESG journey, they will only be considered here if they clearly tie back to business impact.
